BLUE LATITUDE: BAND

About Us

BLUE LATITUDE is the brainchild of producers / guitarists, Randy Rigby and Ed Edwards. The group was originally conceived in 2002 as a live music outlet and a break from the confines of their music production house in Denver's Lower Downtown.

Blue Latitude's debut CD, "El Encanto" was released in early 2007, which emerged as a collection of contemporary and smooth jazz compositions with funky Latin-tinged rhythms, soulful vocals and dramatic arrangements. Highlights include the scorching title track "El Encanto" and the sultry cover of the Crusaders "Soul Shadows". Their writing and guitar playing reveal the musical influences of Wes Montgomery, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Cal Tjader & Sergio Mendes.

Ed and Randy perform in various configurations; they have an excited guitar duo as well augmenting their show with a variety of top backing musicians.

They are currently recording their second album at their production home, Summit Road Studios, in Denver and will be touring again in 2010 to promote the new recording.
